Dinosaur Birthday Invites

When my Kiddo asked for a Dinosaur birthday, the one thing I was actually excited rather than stressed about was making the invitations. I had the birthdaysaurus and dino-mite ideas in my head almost immediately, and since I haven't always used a lot of my beige/tan/olive cardstock, I already had sufficiently masculine and appropriate cardstock. I also am a fan of the distressed look, because it hides a multitude of small imperfections and gives the impression that you MEANT to have it look that way. :)

Anyway, I had some perfect old Close to My Heart stamps to pull out also. The dinosaur is from the Little Boys set, the party hat from Celebrations Solids, and the text was made with Atomic Lower case. Honestly, I highly doubt that you could get any of those sets anywhere but E-bay, but all three have been favorites. The inks I used were also from CTMH (New England Ivy, Cranberry, Grey Wool, and Desert Sand). For the text inside, I think I used the Problem Secretary font, but I could be wrong.

Being the crazy nutso that I am, I don't think any two cards turned out exactly the same. Most of the cards I make end up being one of a kind because I always think of some way to tweak the original and want to see if I'll like the revision better. Then, since I can't decide, I try another tweak and another... So if you ever get a handmade card from me, chances are, there isn't another just like it in the whole world. Cool? Maybe. OCD? Definitely!
